Do you want to discover your ancestors and understand why you are who you are?

Libraries and museums are excellent places to embark on a remarkable journey of self-discovery. They offer a wealth of free resources and information, including newspapers, letters, photographs, indexes, and more.

As part of the Australian Heritage Festival's online program, Myli - My Community Library and the Emerald Museum will help you get started with exploring your past in this beginner-friendly workshop.

Whether you live in or outside of Emerald, this workshop will equip you with tools and resources to start researching your family history.

In this online workshop, participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of the principles of family history

  • Learn what types of resources are available and how to access them

  • Receive a PDF guide with tools and resources to continue your research after the workshop

Free event, although registrations are essential.
