CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

These summaries are designed to give you a glimpse of some of the activities you can undertake as a volunteer at the Emerald Museum. Many of our volunteers opt for a combination of duties from different roles for a well-rounded experience, and to continue learning new skills.

Museum Assistant

Commitment: 1 x weekday per week and/or 1 x Sunday, 12-4pm, every 4-6 weeks

If being behind-the-scenes isn’t for you, perhaps front-facing is. As our volunteer Museum Assistant, you will get to greet guests from all over the world and foster a pleasant visitor experience.

This role will introduce you to the fundamentals of museum operations. You’ll also have many opportunities to develop and use your communication and interpersonal skills by providing information to visitors, hosting school groups, and helping out at events.
